Achievements:

Ollie Armstrong-Scott heads to Mexico in March in a bid to qualify for the Youth Olympic Games in Singapore later in the year. Ollie is the only New Zealand diver selected to trial for the Games. The only age group competing at the Youth Olympics is the 16-17 Year old bracket. The 16 year old St Pat’s town student is the current New Zealand Open champion for 1m and 3m springboard.

  • 1st place 1m Pacific School Games.
  • 1st place 3m Pacific School Games.
  • 2nd place 1m Australian Junior Elites.
  • 3rd place 3m Australian Junior Elites.  
2007
  • 2nd 1m Springboard at the Australian Junior Elite Championships
  • Wellington Diver of the Year
  • Winner of the Gordon Ng Junior Diver of the Year Award with a scholarship to train in China for two weeks.
2005
  • 3rd  1m Springboard at the 2005 Melbourne Pacific School Games


Goals:

To compete and place in the top 2 in two events at the Australian Junior Elite Championships. To qualify and compete at the Commonwealth Games in 2010.



Most memorable sporting moment:

Receiving the Junior Diver of the Year Award in 2006 with a scholarship to train in Shenzhen, China for two weeks.



Who is the most influential person in your sporting career and why?

My coaches are obviously the most influential people in my sporting career as they frequently tell me how to improve my diving. However, my parents are also influential in terms of motivation, support and help.



Hobbies/Interests:

Tennis, Swimming and Running.
