2009 Down Under Classic

WHPA Divers Alice Wylie-Van Eerd and Gabrielle Armstrong Scott have been in Brisbane competing in a new event called the "Down Under Classic". The Classic has been designed to give Australian Divers (and our very own) the chance to compete at a high level before the Australian Open Championships in January 2010. Alice and Gabrielle were competing against Olympians such as Sharlene Stratton and Melissa Wu, who were representing their State Elite Development Squads. This should be an excellent preparation for Alice and Gabe as they get ready for the Fisher & Paykel Asia Pacific Rim Junior Diving Invitational in just under a month.

A very strong feild of nine divers competed in the Girls Group B platform. Gabe is still a Group C diver, but for this competition she competed up an age group.
